Winning State Contracts
August 10, 2012 | State Contracts
August 2012 marks a good month for Peniel Environmental and that’s good news for all our clients. We were recently notified by the State of New Hampshire that we were awarded the mold remediation services contract for all state facilities in 7 out of 10 NH counties. We’re excited by this new business which will help us continue investing in state of the art technology and the best employee-technicians to serve our growing clientele.
Narrowing the Field
The competition for the contract was fierce! Public bids of this size and scope effectively weed out the smaller and less qualified players in the market. Responding to the paperwork alone can scare many of them off. When they read the criteria for selection some companies walk away but the larger qualified firms will give it all they’ve got to win the big contract!
When we became aware of this bid opportunity we knew we had a pretty good shot of winning it even though much bigger companies were going after it. Mold remediation is one of our core services and we’re already poised to handle the comprehensive description of required services in the specified SCOPE OF WORK. Requirements include following the stringent guidelines of the New York City Department of Public Health Guide for Professional Mold Remediation. In carefully reviewing the bid specifications we became confident that we had what it took to win.
Saving the Taxpayers Money
Peniel Environmental won the New Hampshire state mold remediation services contract because our strategic efficiencies in supplies purchasing and logistics planning combine with experienced, skilled technicians. This combination delivers the highest level of service for the best price. It was a fair, apple to apples comparison and we prevailed over several of New England’s top environmental services firms. Thousands of taxpayer dollars will stay in the NH treasury and local economy due to our ability to perform at a high level for a lower cost. The healthy competition of the open bid system keeps state vendors sharp and the costs of services down. We’re glad to be providing important services to the great State of New Hampshire!
